Organised by
Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER)

ABOUT NEOC 2026

The National Economic Outlook Conference 2026 brings together leading voices from the economic, policy, business, academic and research communities to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in strengthening economic resilience while ensuring inclusive growth.

Under the theme “AI & Economic Resilience with Inclusive Growth”, the conference examines how AI can enhance productivity, accelerate innovation, optimise business operations and support data-driven decision-making.

As economies navigate increasing uncertainties and global challenges, AI has the potential to strengthen competitiveness and resilience across key sectors, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, agriculture and financial services.

At the same time, the benefits of AI-driven transformation must be accessible across society. This requires greater access to digital technologies, investment in digital literacy, workforce upskilling, new employment opportunities and efforts to reduce socioeconomic and digital inequalities.

NEOC 2026 provides a platform for governments, businesses, academia and other stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue on how AI can contribute to sustainable economic development, innovation, resilience and shared prosperity.
